Public computer system of the US Department of State is probably fallen prey to hackers. Then the Ministry was forced to completely shut down the system. Provisionally using gmail.
According to an official there disturbing activities observed in the computer system, around the same time that the computers in the White House were also attacked by hackers. Attacks on the US Postal Service and the national meteorological station have since been also

Who is responsible for the attack is unknown. Earlier attacks were attributed to Russian and Chinese hackers, but that’s never been proven
