The father of murdered Renske Hekman from Baflo writes along with the murderer of his daughter a book about the drama. Both men tell their side of the case.
The collaboration is remarkable, but the parents of Renske have always had good contact with killer Alasam S. who had a relationship with their daughter. According to the parents, he is also a victim. They believe that the Prosecution paints a far too negative picture of him.
Alasam S. hit on April 13, 2011 in the village of Groningen Baflo Renske Hekman death with a fire extinguisher. Then he shot motorcycle cop Dick Haveman (48) with his own gun death.
The asylum seeker partly acted under the influence of psychosis. According to the parents of Renske he never wanted the death of both victims. Alasam was sentenced this year to six years in prison and hospital order with compulsory treatment. The court had sentenced him to 28 years in prison earlier before Alasam that was clearly suffering from psychosis at the time of the murders.
Rigid asylum policy
After the drama were the parents of Renske Alasam not down. They regularly go to visit him in prison. During the trial showed they know that the killer of their daughter with them at home is welcome if he comes at large.
The special book to be released in 2015. Eddy Hekman (61) wants to raise attention to the dangerous effects of the antidepressant paroxetine. Alasam would have become aggressive under the influence.
In addition Hekman will highlight the consequences of an overly rigid asylum policy. Alasam got a residence permit and sat year after year, caught between hope and fear. Just before the drama he had been told that he finally had to leave the country.
