Two of the three convicted protagonists in the exam theft in 2013 on school Ibn Ghaldoun Rotterdam to pay compensation. The Ministry of Education has agreed to a settlement with the parties concerned. They each pay 4,800 euros.

The third suspect, who refuses to pay the settlement, must come to court, as the Ministry has announced today. The amount is significantly less than the costs made at the time to include the creation and distribution of a new French exam.

A ministry spokesman said that in the negotiations has been trying to recover as much as possible cost to the protagonists. “This is the amount we can drag out,” the spokesman said.

The ministry said earlier it would like to see 86,000 euros for the extra costs of the Board for Testing and Examinations (CvTE) had made. After months of negotiations between the Ministry and the lawyers of the protagonists pay them now in installments every 4,800 euros in four years back.



27 exams stolen

After police investigation at the school found that were stolen less than 27 exams: fifteen VWO, HAVO ten and two VMBO exams. Therefore some 17,000 rural pupils had to take an alternate final test.
