Chamber Board regrets reputational Voortman – Telegraaf.nl

The angel appears from the conflict between Green MP Linda Voortman and Chamber President Anouchka van Miltenburg. The conflict came into the open last Monday when Nieuwsuur a letter which revealed Voortman she demanded clarification of Van Miltenburg and of the Presidium of the accusations against her of leaking confidential documents. Voortman would have done that during the procedure for appointing a new National Ombudsman, last spring. There was a National Police investigation that Voortman fully vrijpleitte.

But Voortman was the suspicions came out a month or immediately suspended by her party leader Bram van Ojik and its reputation was damaged. The latter recognizes the presidency in a letter to her and to Van Ojik. The presidium also wrote that some questions Voortman should be discussed in a new conversation between her and Van Miltenburg. “The presidency is confident that you will both be able to come to a satisfactory solution for both of you,” said the letter signed by the Presidency on behalf of the Clerk of the House.

The letter states that the Presidium Van Miltenburg authorized in June last year to report to the National Police of leaking confidential information to various media in the process of appointment of the new National Ombudsman. That was a general declaration, which was not directed against Voortman. Also it was the leaking of documents, not violating professional secrecy. Voortman that ultimately a specific study was subject “is solely the responsibility of the National Police,” said the letter.

Clarification

Voortman said Wednesday in a comment that not all of her questions are answered, but that there has been clarification on several points. She goes back to the table with Van Miltenburg
