The foundation Netherlands Is Better not shall abide by the decision of the Public Prosecutor (OM) in no criminal investigation into the figure Zwarte Piet. The organization today know to lodge a complaint against the prosecution.
Three people and the foundation Netherlands Is Better did last fall declaration of discrimination, racism and (group) insult. The prosecution in Amsterdam suggested Friday that there can not be judged whether the use of Zwarte Piet is a criminal offense and therefore decided to drop the declarations.
Is Better Netherlands does not understand this decision.
“The helpers who at the Amsterdam entry explicitly decked with thick lips and a comb in their afro wig, allowed themselves indeed intentionally insulting off. Our declaration was therefore aimed specifically at them, “says the Foundation.
