Dymph van den Boom, Rector, has been appointed acting chairman of the Executive Board of the University of Amsterdam (UvA). She succeeds temporarily Louise Gunning, who stepped down Sunday as director. That reports news agency ANP.
The board members have expressed their confidence in Van den Boom, as reported to the Boards of Trustees of the University of Amsterdam and University of Amsterdam.
Vice Rector
Edgar du Perron, Dean of the Faculty of Law, temporarily vice rector. The reform agenda is among its primary duties. According to the Boards of Trustees which is developed in collaboration with the academic community.
The basis for the agenda is the ten-point plan which should lead to more democracy and transparency within the university, items on which students campaigning in recent weeks. They occupy the first weeks Bungehuis and then Maagdenhuis.
