Famous ‘old’ disco bands like The Trammps jobs – AD.nl

Famous disco groups like The Trammps, The Gibson Brothers and Boney M. and bands like Mai Tai and London Beat spend Saturday, June 20th all their dance classics live in the Botanical Gardens during the New 40UP Summer Festival.



The disco bands and artists playing all their big hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Boney M performs in different composition after the death of Bobby Farrell in 2010. The Dutch ladies trio Mai Tai, which in the 80s scored several hits, and London Beat perform in the festival tent on the grounds at Fort Hoofddijk.

In addition to the live performances of these five bands, a DJ team runs consisting of Harry de Winter, Alex van Oosterom and Rob Stenders dance music. On large screens the video clips are shown of the twisted hits.

The 40UP Summer Festival was conceived by producer and former TV presenter of Wintertime, Harry Winter, along with Alex van Oosterom. ,, I regretted it that almost no dance evenings are more for people over 40. There is already a crowded 40UP club tour, a traveling dance for adults. The need to dance is not just reserved for the young generation, ” says Winter.

On a second stage in the Botanical Gardens run other DJs soulful house, funk, jazz and summery Ibiza beats. Mobile kitchens with snacks and appetizers, along with wine and cocktail bars should bring the visitors in a summer setting. The 40UP Summer Festival on Saturday 20 June.
