Man who tried to blow up apartment in Utrecht overpowered by police – NU.nl

This was reported to the police.

The man is transferred for verification by ambulance to the hospital. Thursday morning, the man stated that he had turned on the gas in his home. Part of the building was then evacuated as a precaution.

The man lives on the ninth floor of the ten-storey apartment block. With negotiators attempted to bring the man to reason, police say.



SWAT Team

A SWAT team and other emergency services were on standby to intervene if necessary. The area surrounding the building is complete.

The fire department and an employee of the energy supplier’s apartment would have gone inside that says RTV Utrecht . The gas is now closed but there is still gas may be in the man of the house.

Bailiff

The police assisted Thursday a bailiff who had to be with the man. When the man opened the door, smoking agents a strong smell of gas. The officers alerted the emergency services, while the man closed the door again.
