This reports a spokesman for Public Safety Kennemerland. At the time the fire broke out were thirty people in Grand Café La Belle to the Seaway present. The adjacent gym Villa Sportiva, is on fire.
The fire was a big explosion. Then the owner of the café conducted his clients out. The fire is present with four fire engines. Six homes were evacuated in the area. According to the spokesman, the fire may have been under control, but certainly not firing master.
The fire raging around and behind the bar. Whether the explosion is the cause of the fire is not known. Fire brigades from the region are called upon to help.
The fire calls the inhabitants of IJmuiden on to windows and doors to close due to heavy smoke.
