That compensation is “reasonable”, argued their lawyer Göran Sluiter Monday morning at the Judicial Complex Schiphol amsterdam airport in Badhoevedorp, where the trial against Wilders is running for his ‘fewer Moroccans’-statements.

Shutter was referring to an earlier ruling in Den Bosch, where a denied café-goer on the grounds of discrimination 250 euro compensation had been received. “These facts are more serious”, said Shutter about its higher claim for compensation. Many of the plaintiffs suffer from depression and insomnia and many “do not feel more welcome in own country”.

There is according to the defence counsel the existence of a persistent damage, “because the feelings of anxiety continue”. He brought further forward, that Wilders after his statements “, nothing has reversed”.

Unrest

The counsel of one of the injured parties noted that the statements major social unrest have caused. He said no offense to know that so many returns (6474) are done.

In the courtroom were three clips shown of the Jeugdjournaal and Omroep Brabant, in which children and minister-president Mark Rutte shocked responded to the statements of Wilders.

Shutter punctual in support of his claim that Rutte in the Jeugdjournaal promised that children of Moroccan origin will never be turned off.

Discrimination

Geert Wilders is prosecuted for insulting Moroccans on the basis of race and inciting discrimination and hatred. The politician said during a campagnebezoek on 12 march 2014 at the Hague, district Loosduinen that The Hague “a city with less expenses and, if possible, fewer Moroccans”.

A week later he asked on the evening of the elections to a room full of PVV-voters whether they are more or less Moroccans wanted. The audience called out to him: “less, less, less”. “Then we go about that”, responded to Wilders.

Wilders has chosen itself not to be present in the process.
