Fewer and fewer people in prison – NOS

The number of prisoners in the Netherlands continues to decrease. Last year, there were almost 40,000 people in the cell. That is 8 percent less than in 2014, reports the Central Bureau for Statistics.

According to the CBS, the decline for both people with a Dutch background and people with a migrational background. Also leave all age groups and both men and women the same development.

Mostly men
