Hagenaar held for PGB fraud – National Care Guide

The presumption is that the now deceased the accused PGB’s wife cared for people who needed care. The suspect is in many forms known as caregiver but has never delivered this concern. Also, the suspect gave other care instructions on ways to defraud the requested PGB’s.

The investigation has shown that these caregivers are actually paid, but they provided no care. The suspect was supposedly available to the bank accounts of these caregivers and thus the money paid thereon. The investigation began following a report of a PGB holder to the police.

The research is conducted by a team that was created specifically to address fraud care funds. This team is part of the management Detection Inspection Social Affairs and funded by the Ministry of Health. Since January 1, 2013 this team carries out investigations into PGB fraud. Commissioned by the Ministry of Health is investigating intensified in the healthcare domain. The management Detection Inspectorate SZW now conducts investigations into fraud in the entire healthcare domain.

A PGB is a sum of money to a person who needs care, guidance and support, it can buy. A PGB buy a dependent independent necessary care. The money is intended for concern and should not be spent on other things. PGB fraud undermines the welfare state.
