That is perhaps the moment the Ministry of Public Health and Environment will run the National Heat Plan. This plan will include additional measures that can be taken to reduce the health risks to vulnerable groups.

The plan starts as a period of four days or longer maximum temperatures are expected to exceed 27 degrees. “There is already a warning for heat plan passed. The expectation is that it will run next week,” said a spokesperson for the RIVM, the institution that runs the plan.
