Van der Laan had to 16:00 permission to demonstrate on a spot behind the Stopera. Initially it was planned to demonstrate in the square for the Stopera, but the protests could not continue at that location because of the discovery of a suspicious package.

The area was therefore dropped and the protesters were escorted by police to the alternative location for the demonstration. “The package was deceptively real, but turned out to contain fireworks,” the police stated later.
