Last year there were 295 443. That equates to a decline of 3.2 percent, according to figures released Tuesday by the Documentation Centre Dutch Political Parties (dnpp). Last year, shrank the number is 4.4 percent.
The VVD saw its membership decline by 8 percent the hardest. The Liberals went from 30 895 to 28 436 members. The year before, the party saw a decline of 7.8 percent.
Also did the PvdA in. The membership of the Social Democrats declined by 6.3 per cent, from 52 317 to 49 155 members. The CDA has still the most number of members, even saw the party Sybrand Buma decrease the membership by 5.5 percent percent to 50 181.
CDA and VVD have since the turn of the century about 40 per cent of their members lost. At the Labour Party’s 20 percent.
50Plus is this year’s biggest loser. In 2015, 27.8 percent of members gave up his membership. This year the 6056 party members, a decrease of 19.6 percent

Tigers
Two parties see its membership rise this year. D66 managed 0.6 percent and the Party for the Animals has 0.9 percent more members.
According to the dnpp the decline somewhat dampened last year by the divisional fractions VNL (ex-Freedom Party ‘ ers Joram van Klaveren and Louis Bontes) and the Liberal Part (former 50Plusser Norbert Klein). She added respectively 1150 and 287 members to the total membership. Think of the former PvdA members Öztürk and Kuzu, no yield data.
The PVV does not allow members to the party.
Other decliners were the SP (-2.3), Christian Union (-0.5), Green (-0.1) and SGP (-0.2). The SGP has 29 928 members, moreover, a larger membership than the VVD (28 436), D66 (25 349) and Green (21 180)
