Major police action in combating illegal puppy trade: 89 puppies seized … – BBC News

  HAPERT – In the fight against illegal puppy trade in Brabant been raids Monday in several places. Including in Hapert there were raids on the infamous dog trader Puppy Point. The police, tax authorities, the National Animal Protection Inspectorate (LID) and Dutch Food Safety Authority (NVWA) were involved in the raids. There is no one arrested.
 

In addition to the properties Ganzestraat and Dalem in Hapert were also other locations searched in Brabant. It is not clear where it was. In total across the province two homes and three business premises invaded investigating two separate dog traders.

At one of the locations in Hapert has NVWA 89 imported puppies found. The animals come from Hungary and had arrived Sunday night in Hapert. They were not vaccinated or too early. The animals are taken and checked by a veterinarian and yet vaccinated properly

were also in the various invasions (stab) weapons, illegal veterinary drugs and a large sum of cash, records and data carriers were seized.

Camera Selection threatened
the raid at the premises of Puppy Point to Dalem in Hapert was not without a struggle. A camera crew from Omroep Brabant was threatened. Our colleagues were almost hit.

Brabant pivot in puppy trade
