One of Europe’s oldest chimps deceased at Burgers’ Zoo – NU.nl

The animal was estimated born in 1957 and lived in years staying in a zoo in Leipzig, from 1971 in Arnhem.

Burgers’ Zoo was the first zoo in the world where several adult chimps in a vessel lived together. Despite much skepticism this new concept was a great success.
