Hudson’s Bay settles in for another seven former V & D buildings – NU.nl

The Canadian department store chain made earlier four locations in the Netherlands known.

Ten of the hitherto eleven locations will consist of Hudson’s Bay stores, one agreement is a Saks OFF 5TH stores. The stores are in larger cities.

Hudson’s Bay had previously know that stores will be opened in Amsterdam, Tilburg and Breda. There will also be a department store under the concept Saks OFF 5TH in Amsterdam. In Amersfoort, Den Bosch, The Hague, Enschede, Haarlem, Leiden and Zwolle, the chain now signed agreements.

In May, HBC already known in the next two years to open twenty new stores in the Netherlands. The chain jumps into the gap created after the disappearance of V & D. The first stores should open their doors after the summer of 2017.

The extension needs 2,500 new jobs in stores and as many jobs created during its construction in larger cities.

The company is also known to make “good progress” with shaping the Dutch managament.
