SCHIPHOL (Reuters) – The Royal Constabulary at Schiphol has been found in a car a firearm and ammunition. A 21-year-old man was arrested in Amsterdam.
Marechaussees checked Thursday night the man with his car stood at the departure passage of Schiphol. In the glove box a handgun was found. In another place in the vehicle was ammunition.
A study in the home of the man did anything criminal on. As yet, no proven terrorist motives, according to the military police.
Around Schiphol apply heightened security for some time and is closely monitored by the military police. A spokeswoman said the discovery has now been made known only because the investigation was still ongoing.
The suspect is still in custody for further investigation.
