More trains
The NS expands on some routes the number of trains. So increasing the number of Intercity trains per hour between Almere and amsterdam Schiphol airport runs from two to four. Also, on the routes Breukelen-Amsterdam-Leiden-Hoofddorp, where Sprinters ride, more trains are deployed.
Travelers between Alkmaar and Schagen can count on more trains, but then only in the rush hours (6.30 to 9.00 and 16.00 to 18.30). Between Utrecht and Eindhoven is the capacity, especially in the evening hours extensive. Furthermore, also commuters of Utrecht Leidsche Rijn to leave with a piece of good luck: the number of trains that stop there going from two to four.
Shorter trips and fewer transfers
Travelers from Groningen and Leeuwarden can be in The Hague now six minutes before. Between Eindhoven and Den Haag is the saving in time even nine minutes, which later increases to eleven minutes.
On other routes a change is needed less often. Both between Zaandam and Amsterdam Southeast, and between Hoofddorp and Amsterdam Central station, travellers are now four times per hour directly transported.
From Amsterdam Zuid is a new direct connection to The Hague, Delft and Rotterdam. Finally, the timetable between The Hague and Leiden, “smarter designed” so that people will be eight times per hour in one go back and forth.
Disadvantages
Some travelers will understand disadvantages of the new service experience. So between Utrecht and Almere is not on station Utrecht Overvecht stopped. Also, is the main Intercity train between Dordrecht and Eindhoven to expire. It is going to be “inevitable” consequences of the benefits for a lot of other travelers, according to the NS.
A complete list of all changes from december 11, is to be found on the website of the NS.
