Alasam S., the man who killed two people in 2011 in Groningen baflo, has appealed to the court in Leeuwarden six years in prison and TBS received with compulsory treatment. The court did today verdict in the murder case
.
S. hit his first 29-year-old girlfriend to death with a fire extinguisher. When police attempted to arrest him near the station, he managed to get the weapon of one agent. A 48-year-old policeman was killed, his 22-year-old colleague was injured. A 72-year-old local resident was hit by a bullet.
The court had sentenced him to 28 years in prison earlier. The court comes to a lesser punishment because it is established according to the judges that S. suffered from psychosis during the incidents in the Groningen village. The psychosis was at its peak when he brought his girlfriend to life, the court expects him this fact than not, too. The killing of the agent played the psychosis or a role, but not to the extent that he was completely insane.
The agent’s family reacted emotionally to the verdict. “You’re a killer,” was heard from the public gallery. The family was inconsolable long time and could only after a few minutes to leave the courtroom
