Mayor Peter Cammaert Roermond today said that going on in his city’s largest asbestos disaster ever in the Netherlands. “Everything Netherlands to capacity for asbestos cleaning is here now deployed,” he said. There is also foreign to companies sought that can help.
Cammaert understands that there should be cleaned properly but the procedures and controls take a long time and were subject to be a national debate, he said at a news
conference. The mayor will find it hard to explain that after the cleaning is still needed extra control. This procedure takes extra time and that time is precious, he said. 
The mayor still hopes that the stores in the affected area within Saturday again open.
