In the Schilderswijk Hague tonight arrested about a hundred people on Friday as they defied the ban on assembly.
That reports news agency ANP. The arrests were made on the Hobbemaplein. The arrested men were trapped there by riot police who had cleared the square. The people are in groups and disposed of under police escort towards the police station.
Among the people arrested are bystanders who were in the square and watched. All the arrested people were transported by buses and police vans.
It was a long time last night quietly in Schilderswijk, but around midnight the atmosphere was something tense. There were fireworks.
The police can not say anything in front of ANP on the progress of the avondof about potential violence against officers. Last night was grim: demonstrators threw stones, bottles and fuel to the police. Also buildings were destroyed.

Mayor van Aartsen put the ban on assembly yesterday. Prime Minister Rutte in harsh terms commented on the rioters, he called them “backward gladiolus”.
