Koenders speaks Srebrenica survivors – Telegraaf.nl

THE HAGUE –

Minister Bert Koenders of Foreign Affairs Friday in Srebrenica had a conversation with relatives of victims of the massacre of Muslims in 1995. It was an open discussion, in which the minister expressed his respect to the victims and their stragglers and their concerns heard.

It has said his spokesman from Bosnia-Herzegovina. The conversation lasted one hour and took place at the former UN compound in the Muslim enclave. Among the callers were women of the Mothers of Srebrenica, flying a lawsuit against the Dutch state.

The residents were then fled to the UN base, which was under the protection of Dutch peacekeepers. But they could not prevent certain 8,000 Muslims were killed by Bosnian Serb forces.

Koenders talks Saturday in the compound during the twenty-year anniversary of the tragedy. It is the first time that a Dutch minister spoke
