“Look out. Beautify yourself could turn ugly. A successful operation starts with a good doctor.” This warning must be from this summer in advertising expressions stand for cosmetic procedures. That makes minister Edith Schippers (Health) said Friday in its letter on measures in the cosmetic sector.
The text is the new advertising code of the Dutch Foundation for Aesthetic Medicine (NSEG), which came with a grant from Schippers established.
In addition, the minister comes up with more measures to better protect the safety of people who undergo cosmetic procedures. Thus, the website www.rijksoverheid.nl/cosmetische-ingrepen opened where people can find reliable information about cosmetic procedures, such as what to look for if you want to safely handle.
The law is so tightened it is clear that beauticians may not inject. Additionally risky laser treatments may only be given by physicians as competent or skin therapists. With these changes, the Health Inspectorate also get more opportunities to monitor the cosmetic sector.
