Grasmeijer is since 2012 active as a freediver after during a course in Thailand without training in state showed five minutes to hold her breath. Since then, she practices the sport at a professional level.
That year she set immediately with a 90-meter dive, the then world record in free immersion discipline to her credit that she has recaptured again.
Last year she became world champion free immersion freediving during the World Cup
