A 21 year old student from the Hotel Den Haag is seriously injured this morning during a release weekend in Epe. The victim fell from a stairway in the grounds of a farm on the camping Veenweg and was seriously wounded in the head. A fellow student, a 24-year-old man from The Hague, was arrested for possible involvement.
It is not yet clear what happened. Police are investigating whether there was foul play.
The victim was a member of the student association La Confrérie the hotel school and was along as guide during the weekend in Epe, where about 80 new members were welcomed.
According to a spokesperson for La Confrérie the accident during the program did not take place, but in a “secluded place” at half past seven in the morning. The new members would have seen.
