Update An accident on the A2 motorway to the west of Eindhoven Tuesday morning leads to long traffic jams across the region. The A2 is locally closed off in the direction of Maastricht, because a truck is tilted on the lanes. The accident happened just before 6:00 am Wednesday. The traffic services ANWB and VID recommended to avoid people at the Eindhoven region.
In the overturned tanker would not sit hazardous substances. The vehicle also hit a light pole that hangs on the opposite carriageway. The accident leads to long queues on the A2, A58 and A67. Traffic can use the parallel taxiway N2 but also the traffic jam.
The VID and ANWB recommended people at the Eindhoven region to avoid as much as possible. They advise traffic between the Randstad and Limburg in either direction to drive through Venlo / Nijmegen. According to Department of Public Works will take an estimated until 14:00 before the road can be opened again.
