The measures against bird flu eased at midnight. That means that now may bring in the west of the country again poultry animals to their stables. Sharon Dijksma Secretary (Economic Affairs) has announced that today.
In the past two weeks there have been no new infections identified with bird flu. For the Netherlands, with the exception of the 10-kilometer area, therefore apply from tomorrow the same measures. The regions in which the Netherlands is divided lapse. Remain sharp hygiene rules in force. Compliance thereof is monitored by unannounced.
It also remains the collective ban and ophok- and guard duty in force, like the special arrangements for people visiting poultry farms. Transporters may visit more than one poultry per ride. Then they must be re-cleaned and disinfected.
The current bird flu broke out in mid-November. The flu is probably carried by wild ducks. The infected farms are located in Hekendorp, Ter Aar, Kamperveen and Zoeterwoude. Stay here 10-kilometer funds with inside a total ban on transporting poultry, eggs, poultry manure and used bedding from poultry farms.
