The Russian cyberattack on the U.s. Democratic party is, inter alia, via a Dutch server. The hackers used a Tor-server Rejo Zenger of the Dutch privacyorganisatie Bit of Freedom. That reports the Volkskrant on Monday on its website.

A Tor-server is an open network that the users anonymity on the internet, by making use of various intermediate servers. The system enables journalists in totalitarian regimes and whistleblowers to sensitive information, but it can also be abused by people with less good intentions.

the Russian hackers that the Democratic Party in the U.S. had attacked, have of that network. On the list of technical data of Us Department of Homeland Security hearing 140 of the 900 ip addresses with Tor-servers, writes The Volkskrant. One of those servers is so in the Netherlands.

Russian hackers had during the American election campaign of cyber attacks carried out on computers of the Democratic Party. Possible they wanted the elections to affect.

as a result of that hacking had the withdrawing U.s. president Barack Obama Thursday 35 Russian diplomats in the country shown. That was done on the basis of a report of the intelligence services, which must demonstrate that the attacks by the Russian government were supported. Several Us media complain that the report is no convincing evidence for that argument.
