pro-Gaza demonstrations in several Dutch cities and the unrest that thus arose were discussed. Sunday in Rotterdam had a crowded demonstration against Israeli violence instead. That was uneventful.
Aboutaleb stressed in the interview that “the relationships in the city must never degenerate into hostilities by the conflict.” The mayor spoke with Leo Pious (Chairman Dutch Jewish community Rotterdam), Leopold Hertzberger (Chairman Liberal Jewish Community Rotterdam) and Simon Cohen (Chairman Coalition for Rotterdam each other). Police Chief Frank Paauw also was present.
