OvV: disaster research is progressing rapidly – NOS 3

The investigation into the cause of the plane crash in Ukraine is progressing rapidly, says Safety Board (OvV) . The researchers hope to be able to bring out the preliminary findings within one month, but still keep a blow to the arm.

According to the researchers, there is now collected so much information, “it is no longer necessary to examine the entire crash site.” If possible, they go still. The research will be focused “on the confirm and supplement information from other sources such as satellite imagery and data recorders”.

The OvV has led a team of 25 international aviation researchers in Kiev since last week. In a first report on the progress of the organization writes to be “that we can draw the first conclusions weighed on the basis of current information.” Convinced

Shortly after the crash, before the Dutch leadership upon themselves, researchers of the team has been in the disaster area. After that it was no longer possible, because it was too dangerous.
