Stewards may give rural fines – NU.nl

After a trial in Rotterdam, it was decided that the number of inspectors with the status of special investigator of eight will be expanded to fifty and being rolled out nationally.

The test was initially meant the number of collisions with vehicles stewards counter on the highways. That proved successful, as the number of collisions with yellow pick-ups has dropped to ten last year. That is over a half compared to the previous year.

The other measures were posting signs along thirteen highways that indicate that a red cross means that a lane is closed. The police monitors closely and more often at road works on the A4, A9, A27 and A50.
