THE HAGUE –

Labour Secretary of State Martin van Rijn of Health on Thursday again survived a parliamentary debate on the issues surrounding the personal budget in care. At the end of a long debate that Van Rijn not only the confidence of the government parties VVD and PvdA, but also the “constructive” opposition parties D66, Christian Union and SGP. Despite that outcome was not an easy debate for Van Rijn. D66 and CDA had run up the tension in recent weeks. Van Rijn would be through with the support of the coalition parties, but a vote of confidence from the entire opposition would be very painful for him have been.

So far so it did not come. Van Rijn went into the debate – the sixth of the problems with the payment of the PGBs – deep in the dust. He acknowledged that mistakes were made, that the introduction was careless and he is politically responsible. He also admitted that in hindsight it was not right to make changes before the PGB January 1 to go.

Sorry

Van Rijn had in March already apologized for the chaos and did so again Thursday. Van Rijn have insisted he prevented parliament told incorrect or incomplete and that the problems in the payment of the PGBs by the Social Insurance gradually getting better.

That he kept the support two-thirds of the Chamber, but a large part of the opposition was not convinced. Especially the SP, PVV and CDA remained in the debate mercilessly deliver hard criticism. “To apologize we buy nothing. The Secretary of State should take responsibility and should resign, “said Renske Leijten (SP) at the end of the debate.

Wrestle

That criticism was factored by Van Rijn. More important was the benefit of the doubt that he was D66. That party decided after a real struggle in the group that a motion of no confidence was useless because the coalition Van Rijn would continue to support anyway. Moreover, the PGB holder was not served with such a motion. But it “was a toss-up,” said MP Pia Dijkstra imminent.

By balance, the interest group for people with PGB was pleased that Van Rijn promised the system for filing claims easier it will make

The larger your incompetence is the higher you climb on a post in the government. And Christian hypocrites support that too. About D66 we can be brief, as I wipe me R..t not even off, you do not see what would be done with krijgen.Je MOTION yet backtracking, which are the true where you as a CIVIL helped you. And that is called “people’s representatives”. I have a very different conception of it. They stand behind their constituents. Traitors do not.

It is striking how many parties want to keep the ignorance in the saddle. I think this is a very bad example.
