MAASTRICHT (AP) – The city of Maastricht tinted Saturday ‘pink’ for the so-called Pink Saturday. The organization is very pleased with the turnout, a spokesman has about 12,500 to 15,000 people
The day opened with an ecumenical service with an imam, a priest, a pastor, one of the Humanist Association and. someone from the Jewish community. There were also an information, speeches and performances.
The event is held each summer on a Saturday since 1981, always in a different municipality. Next year is that Amsterdam and in 2017 organized ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Oss Pink Saturday.
