Again prison sentences for rioters Schilderswijk – nrc.nl

For the third time in less than a week’s time there are rioters punished for their part in the riots in Schilderswijk in The Hague following the death of Mitch Henriquez. Five of the six suspects were led to jail sentences.

The penalties imposed for throwing stones at police officers and vehicles vary from 13 to 42 days. Were also handed out punishments ranging from 50 to 60 hours. Four of the six were on top of another field prohibition of half a year.

The five suspects today by the court in The Hague punished were do not reset the cell, because their unconditional part of their imprisonment all in custody had served. The sixth accused was acquitted because one agent two conflicting official reports had made against the accused.

Last Friday and Monday were already convicted suspects. The sanctions were imposed because the penalties are comparable to today. The riots started after the death of the Aruban Henriquez, presumably killed by excessive police violence. The riots, hundreds of people were arrested
