‘Regime of silence’ brings some relief in Aleppo – Elsevier

The 48-hour regime of silence ‘which is inserted in the Syrian city of Aleppo, seems to help. The temporary truce should provide some relief to the city which was subjected two weeks to violent destruction.

However, the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said on Thursday still a ‘landslide victory’ to pursue about rebel groups, reports Reuters.

Terror Movement Islamic State did well in the east of the country to take it Shaer oilfield. The oil field is located near Palmyra, and ingesting it marks the first major victory for the jihadists since the army of Assad managed to recapture the ancient city in March at them.

Moreover Thursday in the famous amphitheater of Palmyra a concert by the Russian conductor Valery Gergiev, the favorite of the Kremlin announced. The concert serves as a thank you from the Syrian government to the Russians, who contributed with air support to the reconquest of the city.
