Already more incidents drones in the Netherlands than in 2015 – NU.nl

At the end of May there were 37 incidents involving recreational drones reported that there were a total of 15 in 2015, reports the Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT) of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment.

According to the ILT, the increase in incidents related to the increasing use of drones in the Netherlands. Almost all incidents of this year, according to the inspection reported by pilots who saw a drone near their aircraft.

The Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment has published a map that users can see where they are with a drone can and can not fly. So it is in our country prohibited miles around airports to fly, and not more than 120 meters.

Of the 37 incidents drones plaatvonden so far this year, it was in 31 cases for recreational drones that fly near an airport. In 24 of the cases, they raised Schiphol.



Drone through the roof

So far there are no reports of accidents between drones and individuals. Well this year fell twice a drone through the roof of a house, and damaged a drone car.

There were also reports of professional drones, though it was all 17 cases so far this year damage to the drones themselves. Last year there were 28 reports of incidents involving professional drones.

According to the ILT

get the notifications in case of professional drones especially the owners of those drones. Flying with their drone in specially designated area where manned aircraft can not fly. Incidents were therefore often the case of manned aircraft like helicopters which collided with professional drones.

In the Netherlands, some 200 professional drones entered in the aircraft register, and some 150 people required pilot license to drive such a drone
