Marine: Moluccans to The Point were storming not survive – NOS

Relatives of two Moluccan hijackers have been a lawsuit initiated against the Dutch state. They now get the support of the Amsterdam lawyer Jos Rijser. He was in the past, the lawyer of one of the marines at the storming were involved. Rijser argues that he has a lot of time with the ex-marine has spent.

“He to me has then told that on the eve of the liberation of the train at The Point of a briefing for the marines. At that briefing by a relevant authority, specially from The Hague came on behalf of the government, made it clear that it is the wish of the government was that no hijacker would survive,” says the lawyer in last week’s declaration.

The marines who simultaneously end the hostage-taking in a school in Bovensmilde, would the same message have been given. “Afterwards, the client learned from the colleagues in the liberation of the school should be that they are ultimately due to circumstances on the spot, not the wish of the government have been able to accomplish”, according to Rijser.

The ex-marine wants to remain anonymous, but has his lawyer gave permission for his story to bring out. Rijser is also willing to make the statement under oath with the court to repeat it.

the Then minister of Justice Dries van Agt does not want to respond. He refers to his reaction to two years ago, when he rumors rejected that the corps command had to the hijackers to bring. “To me it is a total unknown. I have never heard. I can therefore also difficult to believe. I know nothing of, so I deny it. On the basis of the knowledge that I have,” said Van Agt at the time. Ex-prime minister Den Uyl used in 1987, the word execution, but would have done on personal title.

The ministry of Security and Justice does not want to comment because the matter is under the judge.
