Additional spitstreinen that the NS bet against large crowds of camps relatively often, with delay, or not riding at all. It reports the AD on the basis of a research the newspaper did with Treinreiziger.nl.
One in five added trains drove last year, or had a delay of at least three minutes. Approximately 6 percent of these trains drove at all. Of the trains that run on road went, had 14 percent delay.
The percentages are remarkably high: on average, less than 2 percent of the trains from and about 10 percent is delayed.
Reizigersorganisatie Rover called the figures unacceptable. “Especially in the rush hour, many passengers affected by the consequences of the deletion: too late at work or school and crowded trains,” says spokesman Tim Boric in the newspaper.
The extra spitstrein between Amsterdam Centraal and Enkhuizen was one in three times delay. The spitstrein between Veenendaal and Breukelen, which runs since 11 december, fell 12 per cent of the cases, and 16 percent came too late.
The NS says in a comment in the AD that the numbers of regular spitstreinen a lot better. Additional spitstreinen die first if something is wrong, says a spokesman.
