Spitstoevoegers often fall off. ROVER dissatisfied – Treinreiziger.nl

The extra trains in the rush hour driving, driving relatively often deleted. That it appears from the figures that Treinreiziger.nl together with the AD is queried for railway infrastructure manager ProRail. Reizigersorganisatie Rover is the high dropout rate of the special spitstreinen unacceptable.

The so-called spitstoevoegers drive on a number of projects, to strengthen the regular trains. On many routes, driving in the rush hour there are no extra trains. On routes where that are necessary, the failure is many times higher than average (at 1.9%).

To more than 11% waste
down in 2016 to a whopping 8.8% of the spitstreinen Leiden – Gouda. Also the spitspendels between Vlaardingen and Rotterdam are frequently (7.7%) and, like the spitstreinen Rotterdam – Gouda Goverwelle (6%). The spitstrein Veenendaal – Breukelen, the netherlands have since the new timetable (december 11) even a failure of 11.5%. Also in other transporters, the so-called spitstoevoegers often give up. So the Arriva Spitstrein Zwolle – Coevorden, a failure of 5.1%.

Unacceptable
Reizigersorganisatie Robber recognize the bad prectaties of the spitstoevoegers. “If there are many defective trains on the side, smooth tracks, or there’s wrong something with bills, the extra spitstoevoegers as the first trains shall be deleted,” said policy officer Tim Boric Rover. The association calls the current high dropout rate is unacceptable. “The dropout rate may be slightly higher than the national average, but the measured failure find Rover not acceptable,” says Boric.

NS: Regular spitstreinen drive or
The Dutch Railways to emphasize that the figures on the 'extra' spitstreinen say nothing about the regular trains in the rush hour usually, however, just drive it. “To the travelers to accommodate inserts NS extra trains in the rush hour, but the extra spitstrein is there if there is something wrong, however, when first taken out,' acknowledges the NS-spokesman Erik Kroeze.

More delayed
The spitstoevoegers are also more likely to leave than the regular train. “That is not surprising” responds Rover. “The punctuality is in the peak hours are in general lower than average. Most of the trains are on the move and hustle and bustle in and out obviously gives the most likely on the emergence and propagation of delays.”

Worst train
Treinreiziger.nl looked at all the treinseries both the spitheid as the uitvalcijfers. The worst domestic train, which throughout the years has driven the spitstrein Amsterdam – Enkhuizen, the netherlands. Thereof fell 4.2 percent, and of the intercity trains that do reason had a third at least a 3 minute delay.

Intercity Direct
Last year scored Intercity Direct is still the worst. That is now on the second* (train service Amsterdam – Breda) and third place* (train service Amsterdam – Rotterdam). In a quarter of cases, the Intercity Direct delay of at least three minutes or the train.

, In combined look at both vertragingscijfers as the uitvalscijfers: the number of trains (100% failure), the percentage is then weighed with the accuracy at 3 minutes.
The rank order differs slightly from the AD. In AD, the spitstrein Veenendaal Centrum – Breukelen, the netherlands on the 2nd place. Because there are only numbers have been delivered over the last 3 weeks of 2016, we have this treinserie outside the top 10 held. Also other trains which have been launched on 11 december outside the top 10 held. Lelystad, the netherlands – Dordrecht, the netherlands, has been taken into account, because there is also a (very) limited number of rides for december 11, are driven. International trains are also not included in this list.

Best train: Apeldoorn – Zutphen
Between Apeldoorn and Zutphen, where Arriva, the train service provides, the least trains from (0.3% in 2016). Because that train also almost never too late, is this according to the Treinreiziger.nl ranking the best train in the Netherlands. On the second place, to follow Maastricht – Heerlen – Kerkrade) when Veolia there, reed (t/m 10 december). NS follows with the train Zwolle – Kampen on the third place.

Preliminary data
ProRail, which numbers Treinreiziger.nl and the AD is delivered, emphasises, however, that the to provisional figures. The final stiptheidscijfer for the Netherlands is included in the annual report of the railway infrastructure manager.

Methods
ProRail counts a train as delayed if a train is 3 minutes or more too late. A failed train does not count as late, but is in a separate indicator tracked. Thus calculated the track of the punctuality other than NS. NS looked at reizigerspunctualiteit in 5 minutes. This indicator considers both delay and loss, and weigh that then, with the estimated number of travelers. Also, the NS indicator looked at a number of ports.
