Theatre De Nieuwe Doelen in Gorinchem will soon be permanently closed. The ailing theater is still off season, but draws too few visitors

This means that from next season no Professional theater is more in Gorinchem, message RTV Rijnmond.
Last year it became clear that the theater faced serious financial problems. Through the intervention of an operator Rotterdam closure was avoided. That might go two years underway, but halfway the plug be pulled out so already. The number of visitors has proved too low.
