Katja Schuurman and Ronald Plasterk reading for toddlers – NU.nl

Among others, the Ministers Ronald Plasterk and Lilianne Ploumen, Mayor Eberhard van der Laan of Amsterdam, Katja Schuurman and Princess Laurentien join the so-called National Voorleesontbijt.

The breakfast marks the start of the thirteenth edition of the National Reading Day. The purpose of this campaign is to encourage reading to children up to six years, which themselves can not read yet. It is an initiative of the Reading Foundation and organized by the CPNB.

Central during the Reading Days this year, the book We have a kid there! , written by Marjet Huiberts and illustrated by Iris Deppe. A jury of Dutch children’s librarians chose the book as Picture Book of the Year 2015. Read Aloud Days last until February 6 2016
