Monday unveiled Nieuwsuur that the “receipt” of the Teevendeal almost was found in 2014, but that IT staff of government by ‘people from higher up ‘were urged to stop their search.

What preceded it? Elsevier.nl put all the events around the ‘receipts affair once more in a row

In short:. in 2000 gave Fred Teeven, then prosecutor, drug criminal Cees Helman a deal. It was a so-called withdrawal settlement to which it looked at first glance like Helman 750,000 guilders paid to the state. The rest of the settlement would later emerge that the black money of justice by Helman was refunded to his account.

Eventually Helman could keep 4.7 million guilders and he also got a reduced sentence in exchange for information which could be used in major criminal cases. Teeven showed both the tax authorities and the Public Prosecutor (OM) completely in the dark on the deal.

June 3, 2014 – After questions from the Chamber, held the then Minister of Justice Ivo Opstelten insisted that the receipt was found. This would later prove not the case.

June 5, 2014 – ICT employees received on this date from above to stop the order to find the receipt. This fact did so until last Monday outside. The ICT professionals were at the time the ticket almost on the track

March 9, 2015 , almost a year later, the proof of payment was Cees Helman -. It controversial ‘receipt’ – still found. This showed that there was no second only 4.7 million guilders was the deal.

Earlier Opstelten long maintained that the deal would have cost the state 1.2 million guilders but eventually admitted that it’s almost was four times higher. On the same date got both Minister Opstelten as State Secretary Teeven on following this disclosure.

Opstelten had no control over its officials, the committee found. Also knocked earlier assertions Teeven, that there is “nothing wrong” was the deal, not by the Commission

Three days later -. December 12, 2015 – announces Chamber President Anouchka of Miltenburg (VVD) her resignation due to her role in the Teevendeal. Van Miltenburg received a letter with detailed information on the deal, but destroyed the document. She then called her own act ‘careful’.

A little over a month later, comes at January 25, 2016 the information out that the search for the receipt aware from above was canceled put.

The Oosting Commission that the case Monday as hushed labeled, is again asked to examine the Teevendeal. “It is clear that the task suggestion seems as if there would have been made to convert the search stop. It should be clear whether this is so. We wait but it must be clarified as soon as possible, “Van der Steur said Tuesday.

The minister denies further that he has laid the blame in the debate on the issue at which IT professionals could not figure out the receipt.
