A1 Saturday reopened after placing railway Muiderberg – NU.nl

Friday the A1 was closed because a new railway bridge had to be placed. Initially, the road would open Saturday at 12:00 again. But the operation was successful, so the job was done previously.

The bridge is called The Sand Hare Bridge. A spokesman for Rijkswaterstaat ‘sand hares’ the nickname of the inhabitants of Muiderberg, lying on a sand bar.
