Contrast
The warm days are a welcome change from the cold in April. The days seem exceptional but, says Ben Lankamp Weather Plaza , which is not so. “Through two weeks of cold is the great contrast, early May is 17 degrees with occasional peaks up normal.”

Hours of sun
So it is warmer than in Arnhem and Nijmegen in the Achterhoek. But the hours of sunshine are equal. “On average, all parts of Gelderland four to five days sunlit days in the whole month of May,” says Lankamp. Weather Plaza refers to a sunny day when the sun shines 80 percent in one day. In May, the sun can shine 15 to 16 hours a day. So the sun must shine at least 12 hours for Weather Plaza the day as sunlit dubs.
