First summer day measured in 2016 – NU.nl

For a summer day in De Bilt must be at least 25 degrees. That temperature was measured at 13.20, according to the KNMI.

Earlier in the day it was on other items already 25 degrees.

Local temperature can rise to around 27 degrees. Thereby Netherlands, together with Germany and Belgium, the warmest region of Europe, according to MeteoGroup

Scheveningen

police in Scheveningen urges visitors not to come by car to the beach. “All car parks in Scheveningen are full. There is no place anymore,” police wrote on Facebook. Public is advised to come up with alternative transport towards the beach. The beach at the Wassenaarseslag is packed with people enjoying the warm weather.

Hook of Holland is today the hottest in Europe. The maximum temperature there was 27.6 degrees, according to RTV Rijnmond .



Early summer

The achievement of the first summer day on May 7 is relatively early. Since 1901, this limit was reached average on 19 May. Last year we experienced the first summer day on 11 May. The earliest date on which it was 25 degrees, is April 14, 2007.

Weather Plaza expects the warm air remains to Thursday in the country. But the sunny weather holds out for so long.
