Traffic from Friesland to North Holland was severely delayed by the fault. It is unclear what caused the problem.
The failure now was the eighth in four months. Often, the problems it solved after a few hours.
Last week it happened already twice previously that the road had to be closed temporarily due to problems with the bridge.
