Number of believers is equal to the number of non-believers – NOS

One in six Dutch people said regularly to a religious service. Inhabitants of Zeeland and Overijssel go most often to a church, mosque or synagogue.

In the so-called Bible Belt are the most churchgoers, live there especially bevindelijk calvinists, for example, people who say that they belong to the Reformed Churches, or the Old Dutch Reformed Churches to hear. The Bible Belt is the area that runs from Zealand, via the Veluwe, to the municipalities of Urk, Kampen and Genemuiden in Overijssel.

In thirteen municipalities in that Bible Belt is much more than half of the adult population regularly go to a religious service. Urk extends far beyond that, there is 94 percent for a service.
