Six autobranden, and a future moskeegebouw fully in ash. It happened last night in Culemborg, a small Gelderland town that has been struggling with a series of autobranden. “It should just stop, the people are afraid”, says a neighbor. Another resident of Culemborg thinks that groups against each other.

The cause of the fires is still under investigation by the police. Still, it seems very likely that in some cars there is a case of arson. The flames can’t be skipped, because the vehicles were parked in different places and at a good distance from each other.

“The neighbors heard the night a car passing with loud music on and this was followed by a slap,” says the neighbor. “Their car was parked behind another parked which was on fire. Fortunately, they were able to get their car yet save.”
